Warranty Terms and Conditions
What Is Covered
Our warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that cause internal mechanical failure of the engine or transmission. This includes internal rotating and reciprocating components, bearings, gears, valve train components, and sealing surfaces that were part of the original unit.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover failures caused by improper installation, lack of maintenance, overheating, use of incorrect fluids, external damage, modifications, racing, or commercial use beyond the unit's rated capacity. Electrical components, sensors, wiring harnesses, and bolt-on accessories are not covered unless they were replaced during the remanufacturing process.
Labor Reimbursement
Remanufactured units with the 5-year warranty include labor reimbursement at industry standard rates. To qualify for labor reimbursement, the unit must be installed by a licensed repair facility. Prior authorization from our warranty department is required before any warranty repair work begins.
How to File a Warranty Claim
If you experience a problem with your engine or transmission, contact us at (877) 933-1420 or email sales@used-engines.us. Have your order number and a description of the issue ready. Our warranty team will walk you through the process and authorize the next steps. Do not begin any repair work before receiving authorization, as unauthorized repairs may void your warranty.
Core Return Policy
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return your old engine or transmission core at no charge. We arrange pickup with a prepaid shipping label. After 30 days, a core charge may apply. The core must be returned in a drained and reasonably clean condition, free of damage beyond normal wear.
Return Policy
If you need to return a unit that has not been installed, contact us within 30 days of delivery. The unit must be in the same condition as received. Return shipping costs may apply for non-defective returns.
Yes. The remanufactured warranty is transferable to a new owner for the remainder of the warranty period. Contact us with the new owner information to transfer coverage.
For remanufactured units with the 5-year warranty, professional installation by a licensed repair facility is required for labor reimbursement eligibility. Used and rebuilt units do not have this requirement, but we always recommend professional installation.
